Fall Lessons
Support from the first weeks of the school year, Kindergarten to Grade 12. New syllabus, new teacher, and the term in which the year's foundations are set.
About these lessons
Fall Lessons are blocks of online tuition running alongside the start of the school year, for students from Kindergarten through Grade 12. The opening term is where a year's foundations are laid: a new syllabus begins, often with a new teacher, and the early topics are the ones every later topic is built on. Support here is about keeping pace from the start rather than catching up after a difficult first report.
What you will work on
- Mathematics, kept in step with what is being taught in class
- English: reading, comprehension and written expression
- Science
- How to keep on top of homework and reading rather than working in bursts
How lessons are approached
- Starting from what the school is actually teaching this term, not a generic scheme of work
- Filling gaps from last year as they surface, since the new syllabus keeps exposing them
- Working through set homework and class material, so lessons stay tied to school
- Checking in on the new term's early assessments and acting on what they show
The Process
How We Teach
The same five stages apply to Fall Lessons as to every other program at Educate Talents.
Step 01: Understand Your Goals
We start with a conversation about your target examination, timeline, and academic ambitions.
Step 02: Assess Your Starting Point
A diagnostic session identifies your current strengths and the areas that need the most attention.
Step 03: Build Your Learning Plan
A personalized preparation schedule is designed around your goals, pace, and availability.
Step 04: Practice, Teach & Refine
Structured lessons, timed practice, and targeted feedback keep your progress on track.
Step 05: Prepare with Confidence
By examination day, you are fully prepared, with strategy, content, and mindset all aligned.
Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Classes
Are lessons online or in person?
Lessons are taught online, one to one and live. That is the confirmed format, and it is what allows students to join from anywhere rather than only from the teacher's own city.
Can I take lessons from outside the teacher's country?
Yes. Because lessons are delivered online, students can join from anywhere in the world. Reach out and we can work out a schedule that fits your timezone.
Are lessons one to one or in a group?
Both. Lessons run one to one or in small groups, online or in person, depending on what suits the learner. One-to-one work is built around an individual student's goals, starting point and pace; small groups suit students who work better alongside others.
Preparation
Which examinations do you prepare students for?
Currently confirmed: SAT, IELTS, TOEFL, CELPIP, IGCSE, GRE, GMAT, WAEC, NECO, Summer Lessons, Fall Lessons, Spring Lessons, Academic Support, Special Education. Other examinations are listed on the Programs page and are being confirmed. Message us to ask about a specific one.
How long does exam preparation take?
As a guide: IGCSE runs 8 to 12 weeks per subject, SAT 8 to 12 weeks, and IELTS or TOEFL 6 to 8 weeks. K-12 support is ongoing month to month. After a free assessment you get a personalised study plan with the exact duration and a target score, rather than a generic timetable.
Do you provide learning materials?
Yes, and at no extra cost: practice tests and past questions, study guides and worksheets, IEP templates and differentiated resources for learners with special educational needs, and literacy resources including the teacher's own storybooks.
Consultation
What happens in a consultation?
A conversation about what you need, whether that is an examination and its timeline or the subjects and grade you want lessons in, and how it would work for you.
How do I get started?
Message us on WhatsApp using any of the buttons on this site, or send an enquiry from the Contact page. Tell us which examination you are preparing for and roughly when you plan to sit it. For lessons, tell us the student's grade and the subjects you want covered. We will take it from there.
